kkmonga Posted August 30, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2007 Just checked prices on our March 22 cruise on Serenade. No triples or quads left onboard! Glad we booked in July! Anyone have the inside scoop on a group traveling on that cruise? Many, Many cabins semed to have disappeared.
Sue L Posted August 30, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2007 Probably because it is Easter week and a lot of schools have off.
karcruiser Posted August 30, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 30, 2007 We also booked this sailing a few months back - I am so glad we didn't wait - although I guess our chance of a price drop isn't very good - LOL!!!
marci22 Posted August 30, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 30, 2007 That is NJ schools spring break. March 23-30 (and I think everyone in NJ goes away for spring break)
The Viking Posted August 30, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 30, 2007 Did you call RCCL? I would not be surprised if they do not list all available staterooms on the website.
Bonnie Voyager Posted August 30, 2007 #6 Share Posted August 30, 2007 I'm on Serenade that week too! I booked nearly 2 years ago! It started to book up about 1 year ago! Is there a roll call thread yet for our cruise? If not, one of us needs to start one! I thought I did start one, but that was almost 2 years ago!
kkmonga Posted August 31, 2007 Author #7 Share Posted August 31, 2007 I realize they don't list all of the cabins on the site, but a search for 3 or 4 persons in a cabin came up empty. I am so glad we booked early. The last time I was on this ship, I found that there were very few children aboard, and that many passengers were European as well as locals (from Puerto Rico). I really enjoyed the blend of people on the ship. I've never cruised during Easter--it should be fun to see how they celebrate aboard ship. Sometimes there is an Easter egg hunt. There is usually a Catholic Mass. Other than that there is not much going on specifically for Easter. I believe it will coincidentally be Formal night for us on Easter Sunday which is nice. We will be docked in St. Thomas on Easter Sunday. I asked an acquaintance of mine who lives on St. Thomas if we can expect the stores to be open on Easter Sunday and he assures me that many of the stores by the pier and downtown will be open on Sunday morning till about 1:00p.m. prepared to separate us from our money! ;)
Bakincakes Posted September 1, 2007 #9 Share Posted September 1, 2007 If it is indeed Spring break..there will probably be plenty of kids on board.
kkmonga Posted September 1, 2007 Author #10 Share Posted September 1, 2007 Thank you so much for the info! I wondered about the shops in St Thomas. I think we own one of everything after all our cruises, so we'll probably make it a beach day. : )
CLQ Posted September 1, 2007 #11 Share Posted September 1, 2007 Just checked prices on our March 22 cruise on Serenade. No triples or quads left onboard! Glad we booked in July! Anyone have the inside scoop on a group traveling on that cruise? Many, Many cabins semed to have disappeared. Word got out that EBQ and I will be stepping off Serenade from our sailing on that day and people just went nuts. I guess they want to get on and experience the vibe a ship has when we've just been on it for a week. Yeah, that's got to be it...
