Melissa_A Posted August 25, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2004 for those who still use film...which is better, Kodak Gold or Kodak Max? I know high definition is probably the best option, but I have a gift cert. for a store that doesn't carry the high def. if there is a big difference between Gold, or Max, or High Definition...I'd rather pay and get the High Definition. input would be appreciated :)
stephenandrew Posted August 25, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2004 I personally think the differences are not discernable.
JohnQ Posted August 25, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2004 I've used Gold for many years and had good results. But I am going with Fuji this trip for better outdoor color.
Melissa_A Posted August 25, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted August 25, 2004 I can also get Fuji film with my gift cert. I can get Fujifilm Superia...is that a good choice?
Yukon Posted August 26, 2004 #5 Share Posted August 26, 2004 For Alaska in particular, I'd go for the Fuji Superia over the Kodak Gold because the blues and greens are more vibrant (almost artificial, some will argue). Of course, the end result (the print) can be shifted substantially by the printer (take them to Wal*Mart to see what a waste of money good film can seem to be!), but the vibrant colours are Fuji's tendency.
