Ketchikan Motorcycle Tour

Could anyone that has taken the motorcycle tour in Ketchikan offer any feedback? We're thinking of doing this tour on our Sept 2008 cruise. In particular, what was the weather like? How much cold weather riding gear is needed? What is provided by the tour company (with all the other stuff we take on a cruise I'd sure hate to drag my helmet along if the tour company has them available). Will we still have time to catch the lumberjack show before or after the motorcycle tour.

In Sept. you need to be well prepared for rain as well as cold. I do believe they provide all gear since I saw them out in July with matching rain suits. You are over a year away, I suggest you get your information direct from the tour operator. http://www.panhandlemoto.com/

 

There aren't a lot of roads in Ketchikan, if you are going interior Alaska, motorcycle rentals are way superior. My husband did a 3 day rental and still raves about it. Far more places to go.
