Radiance JS 1098/1598 question?

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of surprising my DW and upgrading to a suite for our upcoming Radiance cruise and wondering how bad the veiw is obstructed from these cabins.Any info would be much appreciated.

Hi there......we did not stay in 1598, but did stay in 1596 last fall. Cabin 1098 on the port side will be the same.

The picture below will show you exactly what they mean when they say obstructed view. The ladder is for maintenance and you are located right under the Windjammer Cafe.

Also keep in mind that a JS is not considered a suite, so you do not get the perks that come with a GS cabin or above......one being use of the Concierge Lounge, unless of course you are Diamond members in C&A.

Hope this helps with your decision.......and wishing you a wonderful cruise on board our favorite ship.

We were in 1598--no big deal! There is a ladder for the window-washing equipment that hangs from the far left side of the balcony. After a few minutes, you will NOT even notice it! The good thing with this balcony, is that it is WIDER than all the other JS's!!!! Because of the way the ship is made, you will have an enclosed "cubby" with a lounge chair, 2 chairs and a larger than normal patio table. (Most tables are about 12-18 inches--this was a rectangle shaped table about 2X3 foot. It was not dining table height, however)

Do not let the "obstruction" notation keep you from booking this room! Aside from the long walk down the hall, it was super!
