Ocho Rios Beaches

Recommended Posts

Our Itinerary has been changed to Ocho Rios. We would like to just spend the day relaxing on the beach. RCCL lists three beaches to choose from: Shaw Park, Breezes resort, and Blundel House.

Has anyone had either good or bad experiences at any of these, and would you recommend any or more important not recommend any.

Thanks in advance

to Shaw's beach from a non-RCCL ship. We had a really nice time. We had beach time, then the hostess took us up to the hotel. There was a nice pool which we could use. They also had a buffet. None of us wanted to eat a full meal, but they let us buy soup or something light without paying for the whole buffet. It was a really nice and relaxing time.

Last December, my college-age daughter & I did Blundel House and it was worth every penny to have just a handful of fellow cruisers along. The beach is pretty, but rocky underwater. The house has a pool, beautiful grounds and a very attentive staff. The Jamaican lunch was very good. Highly recommend.
