flamomo Posted September 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2007 We are booked on a sailing on the Diamond to Hawaii that will depart on St Patrick's Day, and we will be onboard on Easter also. Has anyone cruised over Easter, and was there a traditional Easter dinner (ham, etc.)? Just curious.
lois1112 Posted September 13, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2007 I sailed on the Regal to Hawaii at easter time in 2004. they had tons of decorations. especially was the chocolate egg display on the stairwell. we managed to get there the next day when they "gave" these away. they were hollow large (3-4 times football size) choc. eggs. we ended up giving it to our room stewart who was trilled. I don't remmember dinner, but I'm sure they will have something eastery.
SeanCU79 Posted September 13, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 13, 2007 I was on the Grand this past Easter and I recall that the did not have anything special for dinner on Easter which I was a little disappointed. I remember I was surprised that they did not serve ham. However, they did have decorations and religious services. Here is a picture of the display they had in the atrium. tequilasunrise Posted September 17, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 17, 2007 Easter had a party in the atrium for the little kids with cookie decorating, religious services for protestant and catholic christians, large decorated chocolate eggs, pretty decorations in atrium and dining areas, a special dinner (try the strawberries and champagne sorbet, if you can get past the special chocolate deserts--or have both). The Easter bunny strolled through during the day (atrium). There were lots of balloons everywhere. It was fun, I'd recommend it.
