We will be cruising on 5/17/08. Still have not decided if we want to go to Nick & Noras. If would do decide to go what night would you suggest?

I don't know which night to tell you to go, but you definitely should go. The food is wonderful.

We've already made reservations for our June cruise. We're going on the night that we're in San Juan because we don't plan on being off the ship very much that day.

When we sailed the Miracle- all reservations for the supper club were gone by 4pm and they were allowing on call bookings. (if there was a cancellation they would get a call)

We sailed Sunday- sunday and dined there on Thurday at 6:30 The only people in the place was us-- and a group from the pursers area and the captain had a table for his crew--- Other then that it was next to empty.

Music starts at 7pm.

Tuesday was the most crowded at 7pm seemed all the tables were gone.

It does take 2-3 horus depending on how many in your party. dont make it for Formal nights.

Thank you for your reply. I am just so excited about this trip. First time for a balcony and we have deck 5 aft cabin. So looking forward to it. I have read some of your others posts and I will remember to close curtains during the day.

We went on the 3rd night (second sea day). That is the day before you get to San Juan. I thought it would be a good day to do it because we wouldn't be tired from being in port all day.

If you like Filet Mignon, it's served in the main dining room on the night of San Juan. It was the best Filet we have ever had on a cruise ship main dining room (and this was twice... in 2005 and again last week)!

Thank you. I was thinking of that night also. DH is a smoker and I am not. Is there a door close by that he could step out to smoke? I hate to be left alone at a table for too long of a time. I don't want to ruin a good night with my attitude of being left alone for him to smoke. Thanks

Supper Club is convenient to the outside-- -- BUT the question is--- is that a smoking area?? (it iused to be when we sailed-- ) but people used it as a jogging track- Honeywould go out there and smoke.,

We're on the July 12th sailing. After spending a little time here... well I'm getting rather excited. Thanks to all that have taken time to post about their Miracle vacation.

Can anyone tell me anything about cabin 4228? What type of bed? Does the couch open? My wife will not allow me in "her" bed when I drink tequila... they do serve tequila, right? Patron?

Thanks much,

Steve

Thanks. I may have to reconsider which night we go. I'm not a filet person, but my DH is.

www.webshots.com to do a search on wrap around cat 11 cabins on spirit class ships.

The filet we had in December was inedible. DD & I both sent ours back - I eat my steak RARE and mine was medium well :(. The 2nd try was still overcooked (not as badly) but still tough. Very, very disappointing.

The one morning I called to try to book the Supper Club, I was told they were fully booked (we were trying to get away from Alice, since our other tablemates told us that morning that they were eating in the supper club). I asked to be waitlisted. No call.

The next night at dinner, tablemates who ate there said about 1/3 of the tables were empty the entire time they were there (about 2-1/2 hours).

So I didn't try again.

Hey all !

I'm a future Miracle lover, sailing on 6/18 and can't wait !!

My family and I are lucky enough to be in 8268, wrap aft balcony, which from all the pictures I've seen appears to be the bomb !!!

Reading these last few posts about the filet has my mouth watering. I'm sure I'll be a big Nick and Nora's fan !!!

Would I look too out of place with a white dinner jacket on formal night ? I saw a fellow on my last cruise while we were in the cigar bar with one on, and I thought it looked top shelf.

Is there a cigar bar on Miracle ??

You'll look great. Wear it!

No dedicated cigar bar. Cigar smoking is allowed in the sports bar, which is off the casino.

wasnt the City Room the cigar bar??

I remember coming out of the dining room and going up one floor to an area where my dad could smoke--- hmmm, sry but i am over 30 now and the meory isnt what it used to be

Did you sail on the miracle out of Bayonne or New York? We are considering that ship next June from NY or NJ to the Caribbean and I am just a bit worried about sailing from the North.

Miracle is out of New York...

She is a great ship!

We will be in 4228 in Feb, 2009. Do they have a lounge chair on the balcony?

Sandi or Anne,

I know one of you can answer this....

We have booked a balcony guarentee for September and my Mom has decided to join us.

I know there are 2 chairs outside...I was wondering, can we ask for a 3rd chair, or is there even room for another?

This is a first cruise for each of us, so not sure how it works

Thanks,

Nancy

if you end up with a regular width balcony...there is only room for 2 chairs

you can see in this photo the space that you get for each balcony...........to me it's sooooooo worth getting the balcony. ENJOY!!!

There is not a dedicated "Cigar Bar" on the ship. Now if your question is "where" to buy cigars on the ship, then all you need to do is go to the Orpheus Bar on the Lido deck located at the back of the ship. the have humidors with all kinds of different cigars. I spent quite a few $$ back there at night, and enjoyed the stars, a good cigar, and a good cocktail a few times on my cruise.

I hope you have a great cruise. The Miracle is awesome!!:)
