I was disappointed with Marina as the Karaoke host--stopped in 2 or 3 nights and it seemed she did not the crowd "with her" and she kept picking the same guy to sing -- and he sure did not have a good voice.
Yeah it was a great impersonation of Stevie Wonder...

Anyone going on the next cruise you have to stop by the Karaoke and say hello to Marina... she rocks... Dude...

AND definately don't miss out on the guys in Frankie and Jonnies... unbelievable!!!

Still swaying slightly from the cruise... am waiting for NC's review too... it was nice to meet her in person... time after time after time after time... lol...
Really? I thought Marina did a good job for the most part. She would say really funny stuff when the people were coming up to sing. Unfortunately no one taught her how to balance out the sound on the karaoke system so it sounded awful (even if there was a good singer singing ;) ). They really should teach those guys how to mix the music.

I went to some of the arts and craft stuff just to see what they were doing. Mostly time kiling... They had some lace through plastic sail and sign holders, decorate a sun visor, scissor holder, and make a bracelet by threading through the beads. Most of the stuff was kindergarten variety.
Hi folks,

I don't usually start threads unless I'm asking questions. :p Some of you know that I have asked A LOT of questions in the past....LOL!!! Mr. Pete do you hear me? hahahahah :D:D Anyway, I thought it would be fun to start a thread about the Miracle. There are others about the Destiny and the Triumph and other ships in the Carnival fleet.

I absolutely fell in love with the Miracle. Maybe because it was my first "long" cruise? I don't know, but that ship and the crew really left a special place in my heart. The service was outstanding. The food was great. My husband and I had such a wonderful time. I have been on several vacations to the Caribbean, Europe, many states in the US, Mexico, Canada and in my opinion this cruise was the best vacation I have ever taken.

Anyone else want to talk about the wonderful Miracle? Craig (Chitowncruiserss), Ann (Mprucha) and others? I know you are out there. :D Any future Miracle cruisers we would love to hear from you also.
We took the Miracle out of NYC last June. Loved the cruise however two days at sea each way were a bit much. I did, however, enjoy the time in the casino. Stayed two days prior in Times Square - $$$$. Looking forward to the Victory this June.:D

I was also on the Xmas and New Year’s cruise on the Miracle and was told that it was a special cruise put together for Carnival’s corporate office being that it was over two holidays. The supper club was completely booked for New Year’s by the corporate office.
Can't find on previous threads... does anybody know when the Miracle will be in drydock next, and does it show signs of wear now?
She was just in drydock last April. I was on her in June and she looked great but there are people who have been on her within the last couple weeks who will answer that question better.

Are you booked on the Miracle? You will love that ship.:D

Just returned yesterday from the Miracle (review to follow!) but just to answer a couple of questions I saw on here...

Marina at Karoke has now left. Our cruise was her last, and she was headed back to Russia to tie up some loose ends, and then try to move to the US and set up residence there. We loved her - we thought she was hilarious. Someone mentioned that she kept putting up the same guy that wasn't very good. She just sets up the song for those that WANT to sing. She doesn't have the ability to say, "No, you suck, so you can't sing." But regardless, she is no longer a Carnival employee.

Arts and Crafts was near us as we played cards on many sea days. They did do different stuff each time, and the crowd was varied. People who did it seemed to enjoy it. The couple that posted it was a married couple from Florida who we chatted with for a while after one particular session. They really seemed to love their "job" (they pay Carnival to be on board and run A&C).

The piano bar guy was, just as everyone else mentioned, not so good. I didn't hear he was leaving, but that could very well be true.

Music Manilla was the band at Frankie and Johnnie's, and they were quite good. They also played in the Ticket to Ride show, and they were great!

Like I said, I'm hoping to get a review together soon, but feel free to ask any questions.

And CRAIG (Chitown Cruisers), I GOT YOUR MUG! Email me.

Recently returned from the Miracle Xmas/New Years cruise and had a wonderful time. This was our second cruise and both times on the Miracle. We had such a wonderful time on the last Miracle cruise we did not hesitate to book this holiday cruise.

The itinerary to St Maarten, St. Kitts, St Lucia and Tortola, island which we had never been to made it very appealing but the main reason was the Miracle itself. The first time was in 2006 when the ship was pretty new. The second time was knowing that we had a wonderful time the first cruise and hoping that it would also be just as wonderful, which it was. The ship did not look any different in aesthetics and the crew was friendly and accommodating as on our previous cruise. I have to mention that we were on the aft deck 4 and had Carlos as a steward who was just wonderful.

We took this opportunity to relax and enjoy the leisure. We did not attend the shows or spend time partaking in the ship board activities. We would usually get up in the morning have breakfast on the Lido deck and either venture out on the islands on port days and walk around our lay in the sun on the adult deck. Since this was a holiday cruise there were many kids around. We spend our evenings having a late dinner in Nick and Nora’s, playing some games in the casino and going to bed at about 12. We ate every night but the first night at Nick and Nora’s and the service was exceptional as usual. By the way, the advanced reservations through John’s blog guaranteed us New Year’s eve reservations that few had since corporate had booked the whole supper club for that evening. Thank you CC for providing us with this opportunity for advanced reservations.

With so many kids on deck for the holiday, I had heard from others that on New Year’s the kids were partaking in the free champagne and were seen being sick on deck. There was security outside of the lounges carding turning those under age away.

I know that many of you have your favorite ships and I must say that the Miracle is mine. All the crew members we encountered were wonderful and if the opportunity arises, I would not hesitate to sail on her again

I'm pretty sure pizza and ice cream are on all Carnival ships.

Yes, there is pizza on the Miracle. Look at the deck plan for Lido. It's at the aft end of Horatio's.

I think I'm one of the few Carnival cruisers who doesn't like their pizza. Every slice I've ever had seemed undercooked. If I have to stand in line and wait, I prefer the Deli. JMO.

Phew! It just took me ages to read through all 48 pages of this post. ;) But thanks for posting it -- we are going on the Miracle in May, and am really looking forward to trying her out, especially after all of the great reviews that you guys have posted about her.

We were on the Valor last February, and absolutely LOVED the ship. we just returned from the NCL Sun, and while I had a -great- cruise, I'm looking forward to going back to traditional dining and not having to worry about where I'm going to eat every night.

We are going to be on with a rather large group (it's a doowop cruise). My mom is organizing it, and my entire family is going to be there. It should be a blast. :)

I'm going to dive into Chitown and Anne's websites now, but I wanted to thank you all for posting this thread. I'd seen it before, but I reallyi needed to get past my cruise on the Sun before I could think about the next one. ;)
Magnetic card slide locks. But don't use your sail and sign card. Your best bet would be a library card or an insurance card.
We've used our Delta Miles card before. Use the card to encode the lock then hide the card inside something like a notebook inside a drawer, a makeup bag, etc.

How much are the adult soda cards? Do they only give you a small glass of soda or do they give you a nice size glass? Also do they give you an insulated mug like on Princess?

Sorry for so many questions but I wanted to get them all out.
