PhoenixCruiser Posted September 22, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2007 You need to send it in (the address is on the back of the coupon) six weeks prior to your cruise. ###

Retired LEO Posted September 22, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 22, 2007 Your saying that you received your coupon. If it's for $200.00 OBC you should have received either 2 coupons (1 15,000 point coupon and 1 5,000 point coupon) or 4 coupons (4 5,000 point coupons) for a total of 20,000 points. You then mail the coupons to the C&A Society in Wichita, Kansas and they will then be applied to your reservation. It won't happen on your cruise tomorrow. Johnny789 Posted September 22, 2007 #9 Share Posted September 22, 2007 I got my first statement about 7 or 8 days ago and called about the same time for the coupons, the Bank of America rep gave the the voucher number, then I called RCCL to have them apply it to my account, I believe they said I would receive the paper vouchers in 7 to 10 days I did not receive them yet. After I receive them I am suppose to mail them to the address on the back. RCCL said that if they receive after my cruise it would not be a problem. They have the voucher numbers so I am sure they will just reference it with their Visa department, I even wonder why they even send out a paper voucher at all. lazygal Posted September 22, 2007 #11 Share Posted September 22, 2007 I was told only the main office in Kansas will apply the coupons. I mailed mine certified mail and still had to contact Crown and Anchor on my own to make sure they had been applied - weeks in advance. I had already missed the boat once because the time I booked did not allow sufficient time to process all the paperwork. Then another time I was told I only needed to have the coupon number and call it in to the main office if I didn't recieve the actual coupons in time. Too many inconsistencies. Either way, our happy shopper won't be so happy when she boards. Guest relations on board doesn't get involved. Maybe take it up with the Crown and Anchor crew, since they push the credit card for future sales.
cot427 Posted September 22, 2007 #12 Share Posted September 22, 2007 i leave on sunday and the credit card company told me i'll be able to use it on this cruise. My aunt has $150 for Freedom, and she called 2 weeks ago. That was 4 weeks prior, not the standard 6 weeks, but they told her she would have it on the ship. So we will see, but she is the kind of person that if something doesn't go right, she is the first one to complain. We will see.

DD Posted September 30, 2007 #17 Share Posted September 30, 2007 What offer did you guys apply under? I thought that the offer that I got in the mail was for 2500 bonus points--that's only 1/2 of what you need to get a $50 obc. I wasn't impressed with the offer. I booked a last minute cruise, called MBNA (before merger with Bank of America). They gave me the certificate number over the phone. I then called RCI and gave them the certificate number over the phone. They told me when we receive the voucher in the mail after the cruise to mail it to them. We got on the cruise and received the OBC with no hassles. When we returned, we mailed the voucher to RCI just as they instructed us to. No problem, no unhappy people on that cruise. TwitterCruise1 Posted October 1, 2007 #21 Share Posted October 1, 2007 Not to get off topic, but I was just at the Wichita, KS facility the other day. Really nice.. inside looks like a cruise ship (centrum, kinda) I live here so easy access, plus I know someone who works there.. ok I'm done. It is on the RCI website- offer is now 15,000 points, good for $150 OBC or $150 off your next cruise- I would say it has been there about a month now
Lamar Cheeks Posted October 1, 2007 #23 Share Posted October 1, 2007 I got the credit card with 15,000 points. Question: Can my wife get one also, get the 15,000 points, and can we BOTH use them for on-board credits? (total of 300 bucks)
Wild Bill Posted October 1, 2007 #24 Share Posted October 1, 2007 I can tell you that you can both use your certificates for onboard credit, because you can use as many as you want, and the booking doesn't have to be in your name to use the certificates. I just applied for a card in my name to get the new offer, but I didn't get an instant answer. So don't know if they will give me a card yet. My husband has had a card for a few years now. wolfganghowell Posted October 1, 2007 #25 Share Posted October 1, 2007 We're still waiting for our first statement but yes we got the 15,000 points too. so we will have $150 on board credit plus our shareholder credit plus probably a gift certificate from family since I dropped a broad hint for Christmas complete with our reservation number :) Now if we could just stay out of the casino the actual onboard statement won't be frightening. (yeah, right.........)
