Jennifer,

I loved your review. I have also enjoyed your posts about other cruises. I have just one major question. How did you invite guests to the Diamond Lounge. I thought that only Diamonds or in the case of the Concierge Lounge on other ships, that no guests were allowed.

We are going on a family cruise next year on Mariner and some of the adults are not Diamond members and we are staying in JS's for most of us. If guests are allowed, somehow we never knew this.

Thanks for your review. You certainly sounded as though you all had a great time.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us....very thorough and informative. I was just going to browse too, but found myself reading the whole thing. I love the way you started each day by using the days of the week from the elevator floor...very creative. And I love your positive attitude towards everything.

Hello fellow cruisers :)

My cruise review from the 9-1-2007 Liberty of the Seas sailing is finally finished! I've compiled 109 pages of our wild, crazy, and fun misadventures.

Oh yeah and there's video too!

(that might take a minute to begin playing, and you need to be connected to the internet for that to download onto your PC)

Do let me know if you have any questions!

Where is the video? Is there a quick link?

Jen -- fabulous review.

Question about debarkation. Did you have priority debarkation being a Diamond? Was the wait still an hour in line? Was that because you went back to the cabin for your luggage?

DH is a nutbug about dibarkation and opens the dining room at 6:30 AM. We then go to the Platinium/Diamond lounge and wait until our color is called and then scurry off with our carryons. We have a 7 or 8 hour drive back to SC. We are on FOS in Feb. Thanks.

Wonderful job on the review!! It was so nice to have all the pictures to go along with it. Adding the menus/food photos was a great addition.

I agree RCI needs to step up and take care of misbehaving guests, including kids- why have the code of conduct if your not going to enforce it. We had a similar experience on another cruise line with over 900 people from a So. American country, they just took over the ship, even kids in the casino at the slot machines. never did return to that cruise line...

Thanks for sharing such an extensive review.

Bev

Great review!! I didnt realize you could bring guests into the Diamond lounge -- I'll have to befriend some on my cruise so I can get in :D

You really can't do this. And, if you can, you shouldn't do this. The Diamond Lounge is very crowded as it is without guests. I'm afraid C&A is going to change the requirements for Diamond and D+ very soon. Many people won't like what they may do. :(

Hi there,

That is a great question. Our Concierge said that we could bring one non-diamond member with us. Maybe it varies from conc to conc, but ours said that it wasn't a problem. However, at night there are no children allowed. There was an age restriction in the letter I posted from her (on some page in the review ... lol).

We had an awesome time!!! :)

Oh that's very kind of you to say.

But really, if you make me eat dinner with one more snot-nosed brat ... I won't be so positive! lol :D

Thanks for sticking through the whole thing. You're my new hero! ha ha

You must click on the little QuickTime icons throughout the review. And of course you must be connected to the internet to view them. They take some time to download, so you'll think your computer is just sitting there going "duh" but in reality its thinking ... so give it a second :)
