I can’t imagine it happening either for the reasons you stated. The other destinations such as Labadee, Costa May and Coco Cay did not have established activities, restaurants and tourist activities that Cozumel offers. This new idea would be in direct completion for all the island and the people. We will not be going to the new destination. We will go diving with the same folks as always and enjoy the wonderful restaurants, shops and wonderful people on the island.

We've been on 60+ Royal cruises and have never bought a drink package and yes, we drink -

Grandeur of the Seas Be Wary 12/17-12/27
TexCruise371 replied to BigPapi21's topic in Royal Caribbean International
It's amazing how people can have total opposite experiences on the same ship. We sailed on Grandeur a couple of weeks ago and had a fantastic cruise. We thought the ship was in good shape and the crew was fantastic.. Granted, she is an older ship and she is worn but, I think it adds character. We did not see or notice some of the things that the OP showed in their pictures. I guess we were having too much fun to notice all of that. I'll sail on her anytime. I'm sorry that you had a bad cruise. -

We got off Ovation on the 15th after a 9 day cruise and we also noticed that all the shops were empty during the whole cruise. -

Dining Quandary on Serenade. What should we do?
TexCruise371 replied to mafig's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Same for us. We ate in the WJ nearly every night except for when we did specialty dining. -
Looked up the menu for our Allure sailing in a couple of weeks and it looks like the same old menu.

In Defense of the Windjammer

I'm right there with you. We've never heard an announcement in the WJ in the evening. It's much quieter than the MDR and faster. -

WJ and specialty restaurants have become my favorites. Not a fan of the MDR anymore. -
It seems to me that it was free at one time but, I'm old and my memory does fail me at times.

Talk to me about Grandeur of the Seas, please
TexCruise371 replied to Mum2Mercury's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We cruised on Grandeur a couple of weeks ago. We had a fantastic cruise and the crew was fantastic. We nicknamed her the Happy Ship as everyone was having fun. -
Who still does the older Royal ships, and....
TexCruise371 replied to klfhngr's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We love the older ships. We sailed on Grandeur last week after a week on Liberty and had a great cruise on both. We Grandeur the happy ship as everyone was having a good time. Also sailed on Vision in April and are looking forward to returning to Serenade next week. We haven't been on an Oasis class ship since Allure in 2011. -

Adventure of the Seas My Time Dining Nightmare.
TexCruise371 replied to yogimax's topic in Royal Caribbean International
3 of the last 4 of our cruises have been the same way. We were on Adventure in December and it was the same way then too. I have changed all of our future cruises back to traditional. -
Not on Voyager but, we had one on Radiance on the top end part of the complete circumnavigation of Australia just before the shutdown. The air conditioner decided to start acting up and it got extremely hot in the room due to the angle that the sun could shine in the cabin. We almost went to the solarium to sleep because it was way to warm in the room. We sure were glad when the second leg started and we got to change rooms. Other than that, it as ok. Like others said, it was a long walk to the back of the ship but, it walked off some calories. 😉
