ABear511 Posted September 26, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2007 How much does the arcades cost & is there a age limit? Also do they take cash money, tokens or the Sail & Sign cards? We will be sailing on the Carnival Legend & we trying to figure out a spending limit for our children. Thanks
crusinmama06 Posted September 26, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2007 No age limit, anyone can use them. I don't know if the Legend uses the S&S cards. I know one of my cruises did but I can't remember if my cruises with carnival did.
abitaturbodog Posted September 27, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 27, 2007 The games take tokens that you get from a machine inside the arcade. You can either put cash in or use your S & S card. Each token is .25 and most games take either one or two tokens to play. My kids have a set amount of cash that is for arcade and souveniers. They can spend it however they choose. I think they usually spend about $10 -15 a day in the arcade. But they're pre-teen boys and they love games!

Ellanora Posted October 11, 2007 #5 Share Posted October 11, 2007 I have been on the Triumph and the Sensation, and in both of those arcades, all of the games took 4 tokens apiece, except for the air hockey table, which took 5.

Thanks We sailed Carnival Miracle last summer.. the kids can charge onto their sign and sial at the arcade-- In fact one afternoon while checking our account online--we were wondering were DS11 had gone to--and up popped an arcade charge. Ah ha BUSTED.. LOL Actually we knew he was either with our older DS or at the arcade with a new friend...so it was funny that as we were discussing it that his charge popped up. We limited the boys to something like $5 a day--averaged out--so they could use more one day but had to be at no more than $50 a piece... and we reminded DS that we appreciate his generous spirit but he is not to buy all the games if he plays with friends. They should take turns...kwim His friend did not have a sign and sail to charge with--so that childs dad gave them cash....like $10...which was good because we had been footing the airjet hockey and arcade bill for a few days... Our boys are now 11 and 14..Hope that helps.
