lois1112 Posted September 27, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2007 Has anyone hiked to the lighthouse in mazatlan? I've just started a hiking routine and thought I would do it, but not sure how hard it is. I did Diamond head in Hawaii and that wasn't hard for me at all. mazatlan frank Posted September 28, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 28, 2007 I have been up there several times. It takes me about 30 to 45 mins to get up there, catching my breath a couple of times. It is about 515 ft above sea level on top of Creston Hill, which at one time was an island, now a hill. Half the walk is like a road and the other half, steps. If you like hiking, you will see the best view there is in Mazatlan. It is worth the climb. Enjoy it. Mazatlan Frank

Babr Posted October 6, 2007 #7 Share Posted October 6, 2007 Our shore excursion booklet says that it is a five minute drive from the ship to where the hike begins. That doesn't sound very far. Can we reasonably walk from the ship and do the climb on our own?
