We will be sailing the Victory on 9/11/. We have a total of 3 cabins and 6 passengers. What if we wanted to switch people in the cabins ? Has anyone every done this before and how hard is it to accomplish considering that from what I understand (first Carnival Cruise) your Sail and Sign card is also your cabin key ??

I know that when we have families traveling together in multiple cabins, they can get duplicate keys made so that parents can access kids cabins, etc...

Do you just want to have access to the other cabins, or are you talking about an all out switch? It can get confusing with the s&s charges if you switch cabins...

If you are looking at an all out switch (say Don & Sue decide to let Bill & Pat take the outside cabin, and they'll take the interior...), then call your TA and ask them if you can do a name change and swap everyone before you get to the pier. (You may get a name change fee.)

If you just want access, then get duplicate keys (not activated to charge) at the porter's desk.

Hope this helps and didn't just muddy the waters!

On Fantasy we were given different room keys, they were not our sign and sail cards. They were big grey plastic things with holes in them. If you switch rooms then the person who should be in your room will get your sign and sail bills to look over. Other than that, can't really think of a problem. Just switch sign and sail bills when they arrive.

Do not switch Sign and sail cards as these are the cards that will get you on and off the ships at the ports- each person will need to have their own card. Just ask for a seperate room key once onboard. (actually you dont want to do this when you first get on because the pursers desk will be very crowded. wait til around your dinner time and you will see its not too bad.
