Miami Hotel

My family and I are staying at the Holiday in Downtown Port of Miami prior to our cruise in March 2008. Any info on this hotel? What about the Bayside Marketplace across the street?

Bayside is right across the street. Plenty of restaurants, and shopping there.

We're booked at the Holiday Inn for 1 night before our cruise in January. We chose it mostly because it's close to the Port, and Bayside Marketplace is right across the Street.

It's a okay hotel for a precruise; nothing fancy. Not a resort type, but more business-like. Location is great. Right across the street from Bayside Market, where there are plenty of bars, restaurants, and shopping. No need to take a taxi since it's right out your door and across the street. It's a 5 minute taxi ride to the ship. Price should run about $12 per taxi to the ship.
