What is the best and/or cheapest way to get from the airport to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal? Thanks in advance for all your suggestions or help. You can take the airtrain to the NJ Transit train and take the train one stop to Newark Penn Station($5) and then take the PATH (1.50) to Manhattan 33rd and 6th avenue and then take the subway(2.00) to 50th street and then a cross town bus to West street and 49th street, or you can take the Airport Bus to Port authority Manhattan(12-15.00) and then either walk or take the subway(2.00) to 50 Street and the cross town Bus again...free transfer from the subway to the bus with a Matrocard for more than $2.00 which more than one person can use...or a cab from Port Authority to the cruise terminal less than $10.00, A cab from Newark to the cruise terminal should run about 55.00 including tolls and tip... http://www.panynj.com/CommutingTravel/airports/html/newarkliberty.html

smeyer418 Posted October 6, 2007 #5 Share Posted October 6, 2007 Carmel is listed as one of the ground transportation on the Port Authority website(The Port Authority runs the airports, the Path Trains and the Bus terminal, strangely it doesn't run the cruise terminal)... also use this instead for Carmel http://www.carmellimo.com/

GTJ Posted October 6, 2007 #7 Share Posted October 6, 2007 We are flying into Newark on Saturday November 3rd on AirTran arriving at 10:17am. What is the best and/or cheapest way to get from the airport to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal? Thanks in advance for all your suggestions or help. The cheapest way (best not with much luggage) is $4.85. First get the no. 62 bus at Newark Airport. The bus stops at centralized transportation centers located at each of the three passenger terminals. Make sure that you board the bus destined for downtown Newark, and then pay $1.35 exact fare into the farebox. http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/T0062.pdf Alight at the last stop, Newark Penn Station. Inside the station head to the platform serving Track 1, and on the platform pass through the turnstiles leading to the PATH trains. You'll need $1.50 (change provided) to pass through these turnstiles. Ride the PATH train to World Trade Center. http://www.pathrail.com/CommutingTravel/path/pdfs/schedule_0507.pdf At World Trade Center, exit the PATH system, and follow the signs towards the E train. Use a $2.00 MetroCard (change provided) to enter the subway station at World Trade Center, and board the uptown E train. Alight at 50th Street station. Then either walk 4 blocks west, or board the M50 bus on 49th Street and alight at the cruise ship terminal. Using a MetroCard, the transfer from the subway to the bus is free. http://www.mta.info/nyct/service/pdf/tecur.pdf http://www.mta.info/nyct/bus/schedule/manh/m050cur.pdf
