Bicycle Rentals on Grand Turk

Is it possible to rent a bicycle at the pier in Grand Turk? The island looks small enough that it might be a fun waqy to get around. Has anyone done this? Thanks!

I am also interested in the answer to this question. I have been told by several that it is too hot to bike around, but the island looks too small to rent a car and scooter can be dangerous.

It appears we all have the SAME question! I was thinking of the biking option. We'll be there in Feb. and I was told the weather is in the 80s. So that might be too hot. Not sure. I wish someone knew....

We are also interested in renting bikes independent of the cruise ship excursion. I saw online that Tony's Car Rentals also rents bikes but they're located at the airport. Does anybody know if they have an outpost nearer to where the ships dock? Or is the airport close enough to walk to pick up the bikes there? Thanks!

The airport isn't far from the pier, but I don't know how "walkable" it is. And there will be quite a bit of traffic due to excursions.

The island is only 6 miles long, so you can see that the airport is fairly close.

 

You could always email Tony's and ask if they have a shuttle from the pier.

I don't know where the airport is on GT, but it's a perfect island to explore while on a bicycle. It's flat...and there's very little traffic.

There were no bikes with-in walking distance of the port. In fact while we were renting scoots, someone came up and asked where the bikes were and after being told, decided to rent scoots!

 

The airport is a taxi ride, not a walk.

didn't see bike rental near pier and saw only a few locals riding them in Dec. 07.

No, I just walked down the beach to Jack's Shack and also went snorkeling.  Sorry about that.
