How long has the "dam"ask been around?

We got our documents yesterday for our Dec. 5 Zaandam cruise. After a few hours of dancing, I noticed that the folder is now a beautiful dark blue damask fabric with the HAL logo. We haven't been on HAL for awhile, so I wonder how long they've had this.

 

But the real question is: Is this carrying the "dam" theme a bit too far? ;)

They are lovely and there was a very recent thread about them. I believe it has been about a year since they repaced the pleather with the logo wallet.

We got them back in January for our Febuary cruises.

We got our documents in this new style holder for our Noordam cruise in January. First time we saw them and I love it.

 

HAS MY FAVORITE LOGO ALL OVER THEM!!! :)

I think I first heard about them around early Nov '05, as I was looking forward to getting one for our mid-Dec cruise ... but we got the old black one. :(

For our Volendam cruise last October it was pleather and, for our cruise last November on the Ryndam, it was the blue fabric.

Isn't it beautiful!?!

 

I could almost use it for an evening bag on the cruise. It all seems so much nicer than "other" lines we have been on with hardly a folder. I think the last one we cruised on it was a mere clear vinyl pouch.

If the document holder is any clue to the class on this line and what we should expect on board, then we are going to have a GRAND time!

I saw the picture of the docs jacket as a clutch on the other thread. Four formal nights on our cruise, so it just may make it to one or two of them.
