there was a casino credit for 10 $ get 12$, a 10% off logo wear in the shops, a 5$ coupon for the internet (we put both our together) and it was perfect for checking email a couple of times during the week and checking in for our flight home. Buy 1 drink get second free. I think there was something for the photos but I don't remember what, maybe a free photo of the ship? I think that was about it.

Sue, I thought that gold level had only 5% off in the logo shop?

can anyone tell me what the difference is between the gold coupons and platinum coupons?

Gold gets 5% off in gift shop / platinum gets 10% off

Gold gets buy a photo get a photo of the ship free / Platinum gets buy one get one free of your pictures

There were a couple extra coupons for the casino in the plaitnum book

That's all I can remember b/c from looking through my parents' book and being jealous that we needed on more cruise to be platinum with them!

I think the coupon books differ not only by level of Crown and Anchor membership, but by length of cruise as well. Either that or RCI is cutting down on the coupons. We just returned from our first 5 night cruise after having only done 7 and 9 nighters and there were no Johnny Rockets coupons and no 2-for-1 drink coupons. I was very disappointed and told RCI so in the email survey they sent me yesterday.

As I´ve never been on anything shorter than 7 nights, I can´t say but on the coupon books it always says for 7+night sailings. So I would assume those for the shorter sailings differ.

It's just a guess, rncruiser, but I think that until recently, there wasn't a ship doing short cruises that had JR's. And ships that had JR's were not doing short cruises.

Navigator is now going to do short cruises, and Sovereign and Majesty have JR, but they have zillions of old booklets already printed that they don't want to waste. :)

On our Sovereign cruise, they gave us separate, not-in-the-booklet coupons for JR.

:)

Actually, the books we had were dated 1/07, which was long after Explorer had started 5 night cruises and I believe Sovereign already had JR's at that time. Yes, there are many ships that do short cruises that don't have JR's, but there are also many ships that do longer cruises that don't have JR's. That would mean either that they would have to have separate coupon books for different classes of ships, or people would get books with coupons they couldn't use. I think that they just aren't giving JR's coupons for shorter cruises.

Thought this might be helpful; here's what was in the Gold book we got on Mariner in Sept. We also got the famous blue embroidered tote bags with beige handles and the name of the ship. Pretty OK as a token for only our second cruise; can't complain.

Used:

- Buy one drink, get one free (good for premium liquors too)

- Free wine tasting ($9.95 value) - was only good at one tasting first sea day, but it was fun

- Free Johnny Rockets admission ($3.95 value)

- Gift shop discount - 5% off any RCI logo merchandise (only useful if you're planning to buy something anyway...)

- Buy any photo, get a 5 x 7 of the interior or exterior of the ship free (they're like postcards)

Didn't use:

- 10% off any one spa or salon service.

- Purchase any bingo package and receive one free Single Jackpot bingo card.

- Digital photo credit: 10% off digital printing/burning images to a CD (2 of these in each book; think we actually did use one of them)

- Casino credit ($12 for $10)

- Casino credit ($5.00 match play certificate)

- Bottle of wine: buy one, get 10% off any bottle under $50

- Ben & Jerry's - 25% off a Peace Pop bar

- Seattle's Best - 25% discount on any coffee beverage.

- Airbrushed temporary tattoos - purchase any small tattoo, get a second small tattoo free

we are diamond but if your book gives you photo coupons-use them-free pictures-no questions asked. free wine tasting if offered is great experience and use your J.R.-may not be on anything less than 7-going on the 6 day Navigator in Nov. so we will see. I agree the coupons are getting "stingy"The free drinks definetly usable

:D That reminded me for some reason of the bit from Monty Python and the Holy Grail:

". . . Three shall be the number of the counting, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. . . "

Sorry. I can't help it. I'm that crazy person who enjoys disembarkation morning. :o
