atlgacruisers Posted December 12, 2007 Author #26 Share Posted December 12, 2007 We were told some carpet changes, linens, etc. Nothing that major. She was in great shape in Aug/Sep so I think we will be fine!

scottsanfilippo Posted December 17, 2007 #28 Share Posted December 17, 2007 Just got off and had a wonderful time. I was told that the dry dock included the installation of flat screen tv's, some painting on the lower decks and mostly engine work. Some quick things: I was in #935 and the bathroom had a constant STRONG sewer smell that was really annoying. Service at the Pool Grill was practially non-existant which was very disappointing. Some people even had to bus their own tables. Even tho it was a quick cruise, everthing else, IMHO was on par and everyone had a great time. atlgacruisers Posted December 17, 2007 Author #29 Share Posted December 17, 2007 We had a great time as well. Though I must admit, we felt that the crew may have had a little rust on them after dry dock. It wasnt "crisp'' as it had been before but still a great experience.. Had a wonderful time! ShipShop Posted December 18, 2007 #30 Share Posted December 18, 2007 Agreed that some of the crew were a little rusty out of dry dock. I spoke to a few who were new to the ship. Our cabin had some drainage and electrical issues and the front desk was a little disorganized about getting the right people to address the issues. We were glad that we were only onboard for a few days. Food was great, weather was perfect and embark/disembark was sooooo smooth.
NCCruzQueen Posted December 18, 2007 #31 Share Posted December 18, 2007 It was a fun short cruise. Yes, there were a few kinks. I would recommend 4 nighters every month or so while the Navigator and Voyager are in the Caribbean. How nice to experience a few days and nights the Regent way. mpb43 Posted December 18, 2007 #32 Share Posted December 18, 2007 Agree with the other posters. We had a wonderful time. Food was great, but service was sometimes sluggish at the pool deck and at Compass Rose. Throughout the rest of the ship, service was polished and responsive. The weather was fabulous. I love the size of this ship.
atlgacruisers Posted December 19, 2007 Author #33 Share Posted December 19, 2007 Agree! Compass Rose was very iffy on the service and we found the Casino staff to border on rude and not personable at all. Much different than the old crew they had. However, Portofino was AWESOME as always. Had a great night there. Weather perfect! Now back to the cold and the Holidays!
