Sneaking alcohol onboard...

Your best bet is probably pack it safely in your luggage and hope for the best. As to how extensive the checks are (x-rays and whatever esle they use), the time of year you cruise may have something to do with it as well. For example, the process at spring break time may be more intense then quieter times. It really is a "roll the dice kind" of thing. RCI is rather serious about this and will only get more intense as time goes by.

In the past it was easy, but they reportedly have been cracking down. Keep in mind that they reserve the right to boot you off the ship with no refund if caught. I personally do not believe that the drink prices are overly expensive and would not consider smuggling, but you have to make your own decision. Just be sure you are willing to live with the consequences if caught.

Funny story.

My boyfriends mom suggested to us that you empty our water bottles and then refill them with clear liquor like vodka or rum or clear tequila. that way if you get some juice or something you can make your own drinks more potent :)

Just a thought!

We use water bottles for Vodka and Brisk Ice Tea bottles for Jack Daniels or Seagrams. On one trip, they took the water bottles/brisk bottles out, looked at them and continued on. Funny, two of the Brisks were darker than the others!
