232271 Posted October 31, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2007 Please help me understand this: We are supposed to meet for our tour at 8:20 Local Grand Cayman time. they do NOT observe daylight savings, so on 11/23/2007, they will be an hour ahead of the Conquest time which is on Central time. I was told the Conquest may change our clocks for this port? Does anybody know?? I dont want to book a tour if I cannot make it, since we dock at 7:00 am and if we dont change our clocks that give me 20 minutes to get off the ship and get to their location. thanks! runner15km Posted November 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2007 We sailed to GC twice this year and stayed on ship time, the time was never changed.
KandCsailing Posted November 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 2, 2007 Liberty changed the clocks on our Sept. cruise to Grand Caymen. Went one hour back. A lot of people forgot about the change. I told about a dozen other pass. that they were an hour early for the past guest party as they were standing around by the closed doors wondering why no one was there to greet them. I didn't bother to change my watch, I just made sure to take off an hour and get back to the ship one and a half hours before it sailed.
trctjs Posted November 2, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 2, 2007 Sailed on the Conquest 9/30 and we stayed on ship time. When you schedule an excursion they will likely ask you what ship you are on....they won't let you schedule something you can't make. At least that's what they did when we scheduled our Waverunners. Of course we were confused and ended up waiting at Hard Rock for over an hour because we were early. :D

cruise_crazy68 Posted November 13, 2007 #7 Share Posted November 13, 2007 This is the same thing we are doing, how was it? Just got back from Conquest on 11/11/07 and ship was on Central time and they had us change our clocks on Monday night before we went to bed forward one hour for Eastern Time Zone. This was the first formal night so the 2nd sea day we were on the different time then we changed the clocks back to central time zone Thursday night before we went to bed AFTER Grand Cayman and before Cozumel. Hope this helps!!!
