The only time we heard a lot of country music was on the Conquest out of New Orleans in 2004.

I remember a country music dance lesson on Liberty last year, but I don't think this is what you are looking for.

Maybe someone else has more recent info.

It varies from ship to ship and year to year. We sailed the Elation 3 years straight and the bands were different each trip. The shows and comedians may be the same. Maybe you will get lucky and find a band that plays both kinds of music, Country and Western.:p

Absolutely. I not listen to it... I sing it.

Don't forget that you can dance at karaoke as well. For the most part, those folks do a lot of country!!!

I love country...bought the country megaticket this summer and saw tons of country artists in concert. Was one of the best summers of my life thanks to those concerts. Wish I could go see GARTH next week, but it isn't happening :(

Last March on the Liberty they had a country band who played in the

aft lounge most every night. They did a fairly decent job. I only

remember the lead singer was named Mickey and another guy was Bubba.

Met Bubba in the elevators a couple of times and he could NOT wait to

get off the ship. They had been on for 6 weeks and were leaving the

same day as we were. Told us it was nice for a week or two but he

wanted to go home to Tennessee. He said "if I have not watch FLICKA

one more time, I'm jumping."!

Funny thing was Bubba was standing right in front of me at the Muster

Drill as part of the crew and I wondered what his job was. After the drill

he invited us to come hear his band as we rode the elevator back to the

7 floor together. We did and enjoyed dancing and listening to them.

Be prepared: It'll be hit and miss relative to Country music. Also, bands that play in the lounges don't draw that big a crowd. The disco is also hit and miss.

Almost everyone on the ship tends follow the ship schedule of events - dinner then show, so the lounges hosting bands and the disco can be pretty dead until the shows let out.

I agree. Those Asian guys can really play! For a minute, I thought the Stones were onboard! Of course, he couldn't imitate Mick very well...:D

We can all be thankful for that! Just kidding. I have several Stones cd's, but you must confess, his vocals can be pretty rough.

As for bands, have any of you heard Blood Power? Awesome!!!!
