S&S Card and Casino

Can we use our S&S card to borrow money - say if we run out and also the casino does in fact cash travellers cheque right

I think the Casino charges you a percentage to draw money with your sail and sign card. But we could do it on the Spirit last year. (All based on your credit card's limit that's backing your S&S card, of course.) There should be an ATM on board too, but if it runs out of cash, you're out of luck.

 

You can cash travelers checks at the Purser, and probably in the Casino too.

You can use your Sail&Sign card in the casino. There is a $1,000 per day limit (!). There is also a transaction fee of 3%. I have never used travelers checks, but I assume they are as good as cash (either at the casino cashier or at the pursers desk) --- others will likely chime in on that topic..

Casino will cahrge 3%. Pursers desk will cash a personal check with american express card. They will also cash travelers checks for free. (I dont know if the Casino can cash them) ATM machine has a fee of 5.00 plus whatever you bank charges.

You can use travelers checks in the casino - as good as cash

The 3% fee can be cheaper than the ATM fee in some cases - plus the ATM could run out of money (and has).

 

Plus if you add to S&S it shows up as a total purchase when Carnival posts your S&S charges to your credit card - so you won't get hot by extra charges on you credit card.
