Cozumel jeep rental

DH wants to rent a jeep on Cozumel and go it on our own. ANyone have any info on doing this? He is very familiar with the area because he has actually stayed there for a week at a time on scuba trip, so I dont worry about getting lost.

Haggle with the car rental workers. They are all together on the dock. You may end up saving 30-40 dollars.

 

I've rented Jeeps 3 times now in Cozumel, and will continue to do so. I love driving to the East side of the Island and eating lunch at Coconuts.

Do your homework about rates and yes, haggle. It is expected. The drive is not long and it is worth your time to do it.

call avis, they are cheaper than hertz, i have a jeep reserved in cozumel for dec 7 for all day and its only 32.00 herzt wanted 64.00

Could you tell me where you got this deal? The best I come up with on the Avis.com site is $76.00

I am thinking about renting again on this trip, last time I rented it was about $60 with taxes, I think I haggled a little but not much.
