Cave Tubing/Jungle Walk

We are doing the Carnival Cave Tubing trip with the walk through the jungle. What do we wear? Obviously we need bathingsuits for the tubing itself with water shoes but what do we wear while walking through the jungle (in late November) and what do we do with these clothes when we get to the cave to tube?

I wore my water shoes (tevas) for the walk. I also wore running shorts and a tank top over my suit for the walk, but regretted it. They felt wet and heavy during the tubing. I actually wiggled my way out of them after we started tubing and just carried them.

Most people wore just their bathing suits for the walk. A few did wear t-shirts over their suits. Many people wore old tennies on the walk and in the water, or the traditional closed water shoes as well as water sandals. I don't think that anyone changed shoes.
