Time of arrival in Rome?

We are going to use the ships bus into Peoples Square in Rome. Does anyone know about what time we will leave the dock and arrive in Rome? We are supposed to arrive at 7 am on Millie. Thanks

Generally, you will leave the pier area by 8 am and be in Rome by about 9:30. Of course this can vary by perhaps plus or minus a half hour depending on how fast the ship is cleared by the authorities and the morning rush hour traffic going into Rome.

The departure time really depends on your cruise itinerary. Most of our cruises have left port around 7 pm which meant we had to return by 6:30. When we used the trains, we used to take the 3:30 train from Florence which got us back to Livorno about 5. I assume the buses leave about 4 or 4:30 for a 7pm departure. On first trips to this area were as passengers on cruises, and it left us wanting much more than we could ever get with quick port stops. We have since returned on several lengthy land trips where we had our own car and lots of time to explore. We never tire of Tuscany or nearby Umbria and look forward to many future visits.
