Hi all was wondering what to expect of temperature at nite on outside deck of ship . We are on panama cruise on the sun 9/27/04. will we need jackets or is it warm at nite too? This is out 8th cruise and only second to carribean area or warmer areas We have always like to travel north. Even have enjoyed a blizzard on ship in Norway. We know what type of clothing to bring if we go north! south????? big question???

hi there, how exciting, you are getting close. I might suggest you go over to one of the weather sites and put a couple of your port cities in its queue and check those daily (well at least I do) for reports. This will give you a good idea of what you may expect. Even for the Mexican Riviera we will take jackets for the "out to sea " evenings. It's kind of like living in the San Francisco Bay Area, never leave home without a jacket in tow as the city evenings can be cold. Or, you could just take a nice warm sweatshirt. I found going south the night sea air was just as chilly as up north. Have a great time.

I agree with Cathy above. Probably be nice and mild outside on deck, but some of the public areas are pretty cool (show lounges, casino, dining rooms).

I always take at least one cardigan sweater with me, and my wife always packs a shawl type thing for her shoulders.

If you are wearing a dress that is billowy, the high winds may just blow it up and around. I have found it very windy on the decks at night. The Captain tends to "pick up speed" at night, and hence, between the ship sailing and the wind, add up to some gusts.
