Kindlychap Posted November 15, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2007 I'm assuming it is the same for Princess, but with Cunard the surcharge only applies to US bookings. UK bookings aren't surcharged! Matthew

DanJ Posted November 16, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2007 Oh what are UK people going to do? Book at a US TA for the cheaper US prices, or book at home and not pay the surcharge. Decisions decisions LOL.
britsbest Posted November 16, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2007 We get 50% disc on brochure prices (I know already inflated) I would never book thro a US agent, looked at the merits cple of years ago admittedly @ 1.7 to the pound and decided the benefits were not worth the hassle of arranging flights transfers hotels etc. Cruising is about luxury and getting things done for you ! I've got my crossing in January via an American agent - couldn't have been easier. Okay, I've had to do the hotel and air, but it is so much easier to do that anyway, and you get better service if you are an individual customer rather than allied to a huge corporate account. It wasn't really much work - this is my third transatlantic where I've arranged my hotel, and the fourth where I have arranged my air.
