skybuffalo Posted October 8, 2004 #77 Share Posted October 8, 2004 Hi spatz, Glad to hear that your first cruise was such a hit. We will be going on our second one in November and have already booked our third for next year. Just one question, could you give me some hints on how to get $25,000 shipboard credits? I am assuming that you ment $250 but I just needed to have some fun today:) Congradulations on the 50% off your next cruise. Take care, Ron

Sea Island Lady Posted October 12, 2004 #81 Share Posted October 12, 2004 Ours was between $1001 and $1501 on an 11 day. This included spa, a couple of drinks before dinner, a couple of gifts, flowers and wine.

Maria65 Posted November 12, 2004 #84 Share Posted November 12, 2004 Maggie, the kids stuff for us was primarily the late night party in the kids club, $5/hr/kid. They begged to go so I figured that was like an excursion for them and I let them stay there. Some kids can also run up big arcade bills. We spent a total of $1700 for 7 people on Navigator. That includes all the tips though. We did more onboard shopping than I anticipated. Add wine with dinner a couple of times, the occasional drink or two, pictures, etc., etc.
kdowneymd Posted January 18, 2005 #85 Share Posted January 18, 2005 12 night med cruise for six people $2200. Just as an aside, we booked NO excursions everything was on our own. Four kids, wine at dinner, some casino, some pictures: it all adds up. there are some tender fees included from ?Dubrovnik and ? Villafranche. How much does it cost? Where did you sign up? Why do you want to own one in the first place?

Nightrider Posted January 19, 2005 #88 Share Posted January 19, 2005 Our bill was ~$1900.00 less tips for a seven night cruise. We did have a lot of fun! $500.00 at the spa for two people. $500.00 for bar tab. The rest was shirts, photos, bingo (won $217.00) and two bottles of Bailey's for $32.00. I can't imagine going on a seven day cruise and spending less than a $100.00. We have twins also.

fancy pants Posted January 20, 2005 #91 Share Posted January 20, 2005 Drink like a fish! Our typical getaway tab is $2100. This includes excursions normally. Saving up now- sailing the AOS Sunday. Can I get a Wooo HOOOO?!:D
MommyLynnie Posted January 20, 2005 #92 Share Posted January 20, 2005 Whooo hoooo Fancy Pants! We're all jealous! I haven't cruised since high school (LONG time) and am taking my 10 year old daughter on a mommy/daughter cruise for spring break. So I'm interested to know what charges are out there for kids. I'm planning on getting the soda card. I just read about the arcade. What other kind of trouble can she get herself into? (and I'm not going to let her roam free, I just want to know how to plan) And for big kids - can someone tell me the ballpark prices for things, like pictures (how much is one standard sized?), drinks (non-froofrro with a decent liquor, glass of wine, champagne), spa treatments (do you know any individual prices for massage or similar)? Any help most appreciated.
Ry&Sam Posted January 20, 2005 #93 Share Posted January 20, 2005 AOS 1/9/05 - $2,246, but $900 was the damn Seapass in the Casino. Watch out for that. The rest was Spa and Booze. Needless to say we had a blast (And may have a gambling problem:D )
dexter Posted January 20, 2005 #94 Share Posted January 20, 2005
For a 10-day cruise, my bill is usually around $100-$120
My goodness! You must lock yourself in your cabin and never come out until you disembark. I spend that much waiting to get on the ship. We average around $600 for a 7 day cruise not counting what we spend in port.
FlyingPhotog Posted January 21, 2005 #95 Share Posted January 21, 2005 $1500 in cosmetics? I'd have thrown her, and the junk overboard...
newmexicoNita Posted January 22, 2005 #96 Share Posted January 22, 2005 dexter, great comment: how can anyone spend only a couple hundred dollars. Our bill runs, like yours, about $500-$700 including everything from gifts to gratuities. NMnita
Murphy Posted January 23, 2005 #97 Share Posted January 23, 2005 The only way our seapass account at the end of the cruise would ever come out to less than $100 per day for 2 would be if we'd accumulated at least that much in onboard credit prior to boarding! We'll have at least $750 in onboard credit for our next cruise, a 7 nighter, but there are 5 sea days (aka lots of drinks and spa time), so I'm thinking our sea pass bill will still exceed $500. LuvMyVette Posted January 23, 2005 #98 Share Posted January 23, 2005 Hi Everyone: Most of our bill consists of drinks... (bottle of wine at dinner, drinks before dinner, drinks after dinner, maybe a few drinks during the day, etc.). Then it's the shopping on board (t-shirts, Tortuga Rum Cake, bottles of booze, pictures, cruise dvd, etc.). Gratuities we pay in cash. We might do an excursion but it all depends on what port. Some places we've been to already and won't bother unless it's something we really enjoy (Stingray City in Grand Cayman). We always laugh at the end of the cruise to see how much we spent and how many pages the bill is. We were surprised on two cruises and was way under what we anticipated. Guess we made up for it on our cruise last year! :D I hope that VOS will have drink cards since that will save us some money and less receipts to carry around! We haven't cruised yet and already spent a few hundred dollars (dolphin excursion in the Bahamas and vow renewal on the ship). Oh well what can ya do...
skybuffalo Posted January 24, 2005 #99 Share Posted January 24, 2005 Trish, We renewed our wedding vows on our first cruise. It was our 32 anniversery and a very special event to remember. The grandkids were able to watch on the Princess Cruise line website. It was well worth the money and plan on doing it again when we reach our 50th :) We are trying to cruise each year on our anniversery (Nov 26). This up coming year we will be doing the New England cruise in Oct and again the next Jan (Disney with the grandkids). I am planning on spending around $1,000 on each trip. Have fun and congradulations on 10 years. Ron
dexter Posted January 24, 2005 #100 Share Posted January 24, 2005 My wife just informed me that we were going to spend no more than $200 on our 2/6 cruise. I'll remind her of that when she's at the art auction.
