petesweet Posted November 22, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2007 Just have to get this off my chest. In the future, I hope NCL and RCCL will show more imagination in naming their ships. Both have "Majesty" and both have "Jewel." For those of us who travel on both lines, it gets confusing! There--I'm done! (Posted on both boards.) DAGVBSB Posted November 22, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2007 Actually they aren't duplicate names. The RCCL Ships are the "Majesty of the Seas" and "Jewel of the Seas" while NCL's ships are officially the "Norweigan Jewel" & "Norweigan Majesty". People just shorten the names on their own. zachnlucy Posted November 22, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 22, 2007 CCL and NCL each have a Spirit. CCL and RCCL each have a Legend.
98Charlie Posted November 22, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 22, 2007 And you have the Star Princess, Wind Star and NCL Star. Also there is NCL Sun and Sun Princess. Plus Carnival Splendor and RCI's Splendor of the Seas. Windstar Cruises has Spirit also. Seven Seas has a Mariner, Navigator, and Voyager as does RCI. zachnlucy Posted November 23, 2007 #6 Share Posted November 23, 2007 RCCL Explorer of the Seas and Gap Adventures' Explorer (which is now sinking in Antarctica, though everyone survived).
petesweet Posted November 24, 2007 Author #7 Share Posted November 24, 2007 Looks like none of the lines has any imagination!
petesweet Posted November 24, 2007 Author #8 Share Posted November 24, 2007 I know - why don't WE come up with some interesting names to submit? How about "NCL's Bermuda Triangle"? Any other offerings?
