Duplicate Names on NCL and RCCL

Just have to get this off my chest. In the future, I hope NCL and RCCL will show more imagination in naming their ships. Both have "Majesty" and both have "Jewel." For those of us who travel on both lines, it gets confusing!

There--I'm done! (Posted on both boards.)

Actually they aren't duplicate names. The RCCL Ships are the "Majesty of the Seas" and "Jewel of the Seas" while NCL's ships are officially the "Norweigan Jewel" & "Norweigan Majesty".

People just shorten the names on their own.

And you have the Star Princess, Wind Star and NCL Star. Also there is NCL Sun and Sun Princess. Plus Carnival Splendor and RCI's Splendor of the Seas.

Windstar Cruises has Spirit also.

Seven Seas has a Mariner, Navigator, and Voyager as does RCI.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Charlie
