We haven't tried the Catamaran cruise, but did book the Horse Riding with outdoorsbarbados. .It was excellent,we did a 2 hour ride and went trail riding on the East Coast of the island. On previous visits we have always done sea tours, mostly the glass bottom boat cruises which were also great fun,but this time wanted to do something different and also we didn't have the kids !! Apparently outdoorsbarbados.com was Just Breezing Watersports. The guide told us that they had changed their name as the company was now offering a lot more activities and tours than just water sports. We have already booked deep sea fishing for our next visit. Can't wait !!

Has any one tried any kitesurfing in Barbados ?

For THAT you want to head either to the Windsurfing Club on the Maxwell coast*

- or to Silver Sands' SILVER ROCK HOTEL

where they do major windsurfing and some kiting, too :)

* I may be out-of-date on this one...

just looked in the local phone book for you

and see zero entries for any kinda Windsurfing at all:(

but I know fer sure there's a big windsurfing thing happening at Silver Rock.

You'll meet Brian Talma no doubt,

he's our local windsurfing demi-God.

Okay...that's where it's hiding!

Yellow Pages!

CLUB MISTRAL at Silver Sands -tel. 428-7277

Silver Sands is where the real big wind is at.

and if you need to see current conditions, go to

http://www.swellfinder.com/report/silver_sands

where there is continuous real-time windspeed measurements 24/7

I also see Charlie's Watersports on Dover Beach,

but would suggest you head for the Mecca and be done with it..

Silver Rock/Club Mistral/Silver Sands.

Kite surfing sounds is a bit too energetic for us.I think we will leave that to the youngsters.Deep sea fishing is more my thing.Sit back and relax with a cold beer and fishing rod over the side.l'll check out Outdoors Barbados and get some prices and info.

These are popular Lunch Wagons

keeping local labour supplied with sustenance during the day.

You'll find them all over, no particular place

- most of them are roving from location to location

one comes thru the yard of my furniture manufacturing workplace

every day around 10:15 - 10:30

and most work stops right away.

The workers go out and get their grub, and all's well.

You see them where you see them

and when you do..go get it!

We have just returned home from Barbados again,as usual we had a fantastic time. One of our highlights was the deep sea fishing trip that we had booked at the end of last year.We really had an incredible time and actually caught some fish.It really couldn't have been better the weather and sea conditions were excellent and we got our first bite after only about an hour.Top marks for this excursion,The whole family loved it,I'll be booking it for sure again next time!!

Well done outdoors barbados. keep up the good work ! If any of you guys love the water and would like to try some fishing give it a go you won't be dissapointed.
