Kilauea is acting up again!

CNN has some great new footage of the volcano erupting! Maybe it will start pouring into the sea again so we can sail by it! :)

From the article I found in the Honolulu Advertiser, don't think it is going toward the ocean. I was hoping it would, because we are sailing in January. Really enjoyed seeing it 2 years ago. It was a sight to behold!

the lava flow is a long way from the sea ... I imagine it would take a while to get back there, if it even chooses to go in that direction going forward. I agree it's a real shame for cruisers, I really did want to see the lava ...

Those of us who live here are hoping that the lava returns to its path to the sea along the paths that it has traveled in the recent past. The new flows that are going in the opposite directions could potentially threaten many, many subdivisions and cut off a good part of the population here on the Hilo side. This new flow action that began in July has many folks around here very concerned. We check the updates and the maps daily....and keep our fingers crossed!!!
