I havent sailed on Princess before. Can you take your own alcohol on board. On RC & Carnival, we packed it in our luggage and they never said anything about it.

If you do it would be best to pack it in your luggage when you give it to the porter to avoid any hassles. :)

 

For the most part they won't say anything if you carry it on but you never know. :rolleyes:

Why would you need to bring your own alcohol onboard? Are you planning to sterilze something? Ohhh, you mean liquor! Well, that's kind of you to offer but Princess usually stocks quite enough for everyone -- I've never known them to run out yet.

I agree with you -- reassurance is key: I myself never like to be more than 50 yards from the nearest bottle of gin, just in case of emergencies.

I've brought beer and or liquor on every Princess cruise that I've been on. soetimes I even carry it on. Never had a problem. The first time I sailed with Princess it was out of san juan. There was a duty free shop right at the terminal. I asked someone at the security gate "xray machine" if I was allowed to bring beer on board. ( I already knew that it was stated in the pre cruise docs. that bring on beer or hard liquor was not permitted) I thought Id ask and see what they say. I was told "as long as its not out in plain sight where we can see it, we wont know you have it." sinse then, Ive brought on liquor and beer.

let's be careful how much we publicize this: most lines are starting to crack down and the more we talk about what and how much we bring on, the more likely Princess is to follow suit.
