jolyn928 Posted September 11, 2009 #227 Share Posted September 11, 2009 I HEARD (of course this may only be a rumor) that the new 'cove' balconies on the Dream are both above and below the waterline:D DH loves to snorkle and I think this might just convince him to try a new ship!:p

cheri Posted September 15, 2009 #229 Share Posted September 15, 2009 But the view below the water could be so much more interesting! I would imagine that it wouldn't be too difficult to open the balcony door if you're located right at the water line. Then you'd get the best of both--above and under water views. Now, that would be cruising! just watch out for the waves,,,,,, lol,,,, no such thing
ibecruzen2 Posted September 15, 2009 #230 Share Posted September 15, 2009 You have got to be kidding! I do not know of any ships that have balconies UNDERWATER! AAAHHHHH how dumb can people be. oh disney world may have them
ibecruzen2 Posted September 15, 2009 #231 Share Posted September 15, 2009 Never opened the curtins in front of the doors. I had a balcony under water and it came with snorkel gear and a raft in a water tite room you had to swim up to get your food or get the catch of the day
gill_boo Posted September 15, 2009 #232 Share Posted September 15, 2009 I think some people would pay extra for an underwater ocean view cabin. How cool would that be to maybe see whales, or dophins, or turtles or whatever swimming by your window.

lidoplease Posted February 25, 2010 #244 Share Posted February 25, 2010 I know someone who booked an inside room for her first cruise, because, as she later told us, "I didn't want to sleep outside."!!:) (true story).
kkmonga Posted February 25, 2010 #245 Share Posted February 25, 2010 If you decide to open the balcony door,be sure that the cabin door to the hallway is closed. Not only is it a mess, but you might contaminate the freshwater toilets in the public restrooms with sea water!

floridacruzin Posted March 15, 2010 #249 Share Posted March 15, 2010 Apparently your balcony will sound an alarm and cause all sorts of heating and cooling issues if you leave the door open:rolleyes:
bean-si Posted March 15, 2010 #250 Share Posted March 15, 2010 We had a balcony underwater on the Sensation and it was fantastic watching the fish slip under the railing and panic trying to get back to the ocean....Several dolphins waved to us thru the railing
