zmbg Posted November 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2007 How is the drinking water on the Glory. Do we have to bring Drinking water?
beach410 Posted November 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2007 I have never been on the Glory, but all the ships, 3 different Fantasy class, the water served is very good. I bring bottled water for the excursions and to drink in our room.
OhioJeff Posted November 29, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2007 Probably better than your tap at home. I have never had a problem with it. Some say its high in sodium. If you drink bottled water at home, just bring some along.
*Mach* Posted November 29, 2007 #4 Share Posted November 29, 2007 I've been very impressed by the quality of the water on board. Personally, I wouldn't bother with bringing any additional water but that's just me...
popsec Posted November 29, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 29, 2007 We've been on the Fascination, Miracle and Legend and the only one I had a problem with, as far as water, was the Fascination...I thought it had a really odd taste. It didn't seem to matter whether you got it in the cabin, buffet area or dining room. The ice, since it's double filtered, was ok so I just let a big bucket of ice melt and used that for my drinking water.
Bunkie103 Posted November 29, 2007 #6 Share Posted November 29, 2007 Have to agree with above posters. My DH is fussy about his water and he has never complained about the water on the ship. We usually bring a couple of bottles for excursions because the bottled water they sell is a bit expensive.
iowagirl411 Posted November 29, 2007 #7 Share Posted November 29, 2007 Although I've been on several cruises, I've never tried the water.:D
Peto Posted November 29, 2007 #8 Share Posted November 29, 2007 The water is fine and there is a fresh bottle in your room each day.
Rare Essiesmom Posted November 30, 2007 #9 Share Posted November 30, 2007 Of course, you pay for that fresh bottle of water...I bring a wide mouth water bottle with carrier that goes on belt or over shoulder (or in backpack) and I fill it in the buffet before going on a shore excursion. Saves buying overpriced bottled water. Also have a bottle with filter for countries where you can't drink the water on shore, but might need to refill...EM
VIPBY40 Posted November 30, 2007 #10 Share Posted November 30, 2007 First cruise brought "wide mouth" water bottle. The one and only time I refilled it I felt really weird...like everyone was watching me...what if my "wide mouth" water bottle touched the dispenser, it didnt but if it did? ewwwwww! The only "really" weird thing I do on a cruise ship is wipe the drink dispensors before I fill my glass or coffee cup. I know I know buying water on the ship is expensive, but hey its not more than the drink of the day!
Luv4dacruise Posted November 30, 2007 #11 Share Posted November 30, 2007 I bring a wide mouth water bottle with carrier that goes on belt or over shoulder (or in backpack) and I fill it in the buffet before going on a shore excursion. Really wish people would not do this, it is not sanitary unless you are able to wash and sanitize your bottle beforehand, which is pretty unlikely. This is why whenever you go back up to the buffet for something else to eat, or another drink, you should use a new plate/cup.
Rare Essiesmom Posted November 30, 2007 #12 Share Posted November 30, 2007 Sorry if it bothers you...The cap is the only part that touches my mouth, and it is removed to fill...EM
bjkeen Posted December 1, 2007 #13 Share Posted December 1, 2007 I have drank the water on each of the Carnival ships that I have sailed upon. I thought the water was good. You can purchase bottled water if you like. Happy Cruising! http://www.*****.com/users/bjkeen/index.html
