Jamaica with Princess

Hi,

I am going to cruise with Princess (first time with this line) in January and I need some advice on the best excursions in Jamaica, please.

We are interested in the Dunn's River Falls excursions (not sure which one though, to many to choose from). But, we are open to other suggestions as well.

Thanks in advance to anyone who responds! :D

Hire a private tour operator. You will get to see and do more for less $. We used Wentworth and had a wonderful private tour. I would highly recommend him as he took what my family wanted to do and took us there. I couldn't have asked for a better tour. He took us in a nice air conditioned van and was a very safe driver.

Any questions, about Wentworth, just ask.

You can find him on the web at: http://www.wentworthtours.com/

In August a group of us did the Beach Horseback Riding and River Tubing and it was excellent.

I would go ahead and book the Dunn's River Falls excursion though your cruise line. Some also include other things during the course of your excursion. I would not do a private tour there. Yes, some have done private tours without problems but I just would pass on it and go with the ships tour which you will know will meet the safety standards for Princess Cruise Lines who has been sailing to Jamaica for many years now.

We were on the Grand last week and Princess had an excursion with Bamboo Beach Club and DRF. We did not do the DRF portion as we had a toddler with us, but the Bamboo Beach Club was awesome. The staff there is excellent, as is the food and the entertainment. We talked to people once they came back from DRF and they were very happy with that part of the tour as well.:D

We booked the Bamboo Beach Club tour through the ship and had a great time. It was all inclusive of food and drinks and the service was amazing! Our hostess was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Our favorite part was the shows they had throughout our stay there. It was real cultural experience and a lot of fun. They also took us to the Falls and even served us drinks on the bus on the way back to the Beach Club! Check out their website www.bamboobeachclub.com - I think they sell it on board Princess...
