Jerrudy Posted September 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2004 Just realized I'm booked in a cabin on the VOS with an adjoining room. What problems, if any, will I encounter? Should I try to change rooms?
Lyncruiser Posted September 8, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 8, 2004 We have found that connecting cabins are best avoided unless you're connecting with family members in the connecting cabin. When we had a connecting cabin on the Celebrity Summit, we could hear everything that went on next door and smoke drifted over as well. If you can, I would try to change your cabin. 42trvl Posted September 8, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 8, 2004 Will reemphasize Lyncruiser's advice. Don't know about Voyager, but we also had same issue on Summit. Luckily we had "good" neighbors, but when they were in it was as if we were in the same cabin, and we found ourselves whispering half the time and keeping the tv real low so we wouldn't bother them, so not something I would do if I had other options. nycny Posted September 8, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 8, 2004 I agree. We are just off the Explorer on 9/6 and had connecting rooms. At night we closed the connecting door and I could hear my the tv clearly through the door.
Jerrudy Posted September 8, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted September 8, 2004 Thank-you to all for the quick response. Since it was early enough, I was able to change the stateroom to a non-adjoining room. Thanks again!
Magicat Posted September 8, 2004 #6 Share Posted September 8, 2004 Hey Jerrudy..when do you sail? We are on the 19th Voyager to Canada with an adjoining room. Maybe it's us! We don't smoke and we are rarely in the cabin and when we are we are quiet as church mice..well until I fall asleep and start snoring then the Captain can turn off the horn and use me. Jerrudy Posted September 8, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted September 8, 2004 Sorry Magicat, we are going on May 29, 5 night to Bermuda. Keep the Voyager in "ship-shape" for us!
