Mardi Gras in Galveston

I have posted this question on the Royal Caribbean cruise site, but got no responses. We are sailing on the Voyager on Jan 27, 2008. That is going to be Mardi Gras in Galvestion and I wondered if onboard there will be special activities/decorations with a Mardi Gras theme? Anyone? Thanks;)

There is a long thread for the Jan 27 cruise on the Voyager. There are several b/bers and lots of frequent cruisers. I don't know about events onboard, but Galveston will have a parade and lots of activity (check out the Galveston web site). You might want to join our M&M group and get to know us.

We're on that sailing, too. I'm sure there will be something on the ship with a Mardi Gras theme. We're going down on Saturday, so I'm hoping to get a little fun in on the Strand the night before we sail.

I sure hope they have some Mardi Gras activities/themes. I guess I will throw in some beads and wear with my purple formal!! If it looks like no body else is wearing them, I'll just leave them off. I don't know if the masks will be worn, though. What do you think will be done?:D

The first night parade on board is similar to Mari Gras parades.. It is around 11 - 11:15 pm.
