Where is the Conquest?

The Conquest is usually in by now but I see she isn't. Can't be fog this time, maybe the weather disturbance Olga is affecting the arrival.

Yep... wind... She's been fighting a 30 kt headwind for about twenty hours now and the sea state associated with it. I'm betting 14 to 18 foot swells.

 

She'll be in... just give her a bit of time...

Yeah... that's an approximation as the scheduled arrival time is 8 AM...

The Conquest is just now sailing past the SeaWolf Park webcam.

 

She should be in harbor in about ten minutes...

and there's a tug helping her come about! Ya' don't see that very often!

 

The wind out of the North must be too much for her thrusters...

Because she was bit late getting in this morning...

 

She usually arrives around 6:30 and didn't make port til about 8:25. She was bucking a pretty good headwind enroute home...

I just checked the swell prog charts and it looks like these kids are gonna' have a great ride... They're chasing the front south and shouldn't see anything more than six foot swells!!! PERFECT!!!

Hi everybody! I waited until this evening to log in to start reading any early posts from those returning from the Conquest after the fog delay/and Olga. I laughed out loud when I read the thread title from my Buddy Robb. Are we going to be playing "Where is the Conquest" all winter? :D
