Cruise_Couple Posted December 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 16, 2007 I believe it is deck 11 that is the larger deck so it overhangs deck 10 balconies.

Thanks. The overhang is on deck 7. Here's a pictures from the Jewel of the Seas. Your cabins will be two decks up from the overhang. Enjoy your cruise. :)
lovelife Posted December 17, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 17, 2007 Is something wrong with the overhang? I'm on deck seven on my upcoming cruise.

With the overhang you can't see straight down into the water. IMHO it's not a big deal.

akupupule Posted December 17, 2007 #7 Share Posted December 17, 2007 We just got off the Jewel and there is an overhang over the lifeboats on deck 6.However we were in cabin 1570 JS on deck 10 and there was an overhang above us, although not really objectional. You could still get sun up until about 11am, then you got plenty of shade. It does add to the privacy of the balcony, because decks 11 and 12 cannot see under the overhang. However we could not see directly down past the overhang which covers the lifeboats, but again, from decks 8-10 I wouldn't think that would be a problem because the angle is not bad and only cuts off maybe 20 feet directly under the overhang ( on deck 6). Hope that helps. :)
