cleaning camera while snorkeling?

I just got the Sea Life Ecoshot underwater camera. My intentions are to use it for snorkeling, but in the user guide it says "do not let salt water dry on the camera". Typically we take snorkel excursions on boats that make 2 or 3 stops so there's really no place to rinse the camera off between stops. What does everyone else do to protect their cameras from drying salt water?

Generally a damp towel over it will be fine. Or, if there is a camera rinse bucket onboard, do a good rinse in the fresh water, THEN cover with the damp towel. Don't ever leave the camera in the rinse bucket - that's when most floods occur because of all the banging around.
