Resorts for a day in Ocho Rios

I would appreciate any tips on which resort my family can spend the day at while in OR. I would prefer someplace not too far from the port, and which would be kid (teenager) friendly.

Sometimes the cruise lines offer a day at a resort. Has your cruise line come posted their excursions yet?

My wife and I are booked aboard the Januard 2nd sailing of Brilliance. The cruise booklets they sent show a Sandals Beach Break excursion at one of their Ocho Rios properties for $79 pp. I was wondering if anyone has done this and what they thought. Close friends of ours swear by Sandals, but we've never done an all-inclusive before and thought this would be a great way to get our feet wet in this regard, if only for a few hours. But we wanted to know if you have full run of the place for that time, just like the resort's guests do.

I am curious about the ships excursion to the Sandals resort and whether alcoholic beverages are included. The brochure states that food is included but I wasn't sure about drinks.

I am curious too if anyone has done the Sandals Dunns River Falls beach excursion. We will be there in 2 weeks and would like to book the excursion asap. Anyone done this in Ocho Rios?

I am looking at the Bamboo Beach Club in Ochos Rios. $50/person, free alcoholic beverages, sodas and food, live music on the beach. They also offer additional tours.

 

Anybody done the Bamboo Beach Club yet?
