dukemha Posted December 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2007 Taking my first cruise on the 8-day JOS cruise to Eastern Caribbean in January and am getting more excited by the day. What games do they play in the Casino? I expect slots and blackjack, but do they also have roulette and craps? Just curious.
RCCLNYMETS41 Posted December 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2007 I just returned from Jewel OTS November 25th from the 8 night eastern-PURE PARADISE! THis was our 10th with RCI. The casino has BJ, SLots, Roulette, Craps, & it was either Let it Ride or Caribbean Stud Poker (cna't remember). If you know your gambling odds, you know to stay away from the single deck BJ that only pays 6:5 on a BJ & don't waste your money contributing to the BOnus at the BJ table-these "carnival" gimmicks greatly increaase the house odds. Fortunately, I had a good run in the casino & closed it down at 2am every night. The dealers were very personal & greated me by name after teh 1st night. Brandon Smith, part of the cruise director's staff, was fantastic! Make sure you go up to the crown & anchor lounge & take a look straight down the middle of the room. Have a great time! How can you not? Let me know if you have any other questions.
dukemha Posted December 18, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted December 18, 2007 Thanks, Mets. That answers my question. Though I certainly don't intend to spend all my time indoors on this cruise, the fact there will be a few different games of chance in the Casino does mean I'll at least pay a visit. Or two. And thanks for the Crown and Anchor tip. Finding those special views, those little "secrets" waiting to be discovered, is something I look forward to. As I said, I am getting more and more enthused with each passing day.
emtaylor Posted December 18, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 18, 2007 What about Texas Hold'em poker. Last year on NOS, they had an electronic Texas Hold'em table, but it never worked. Have they given that up?
cruisin4kicks Posted December 18, 2007 #5 Share Posted December 18, 2007 Just returned from the Navigator yesterday. On that ship, there were 2 no limit Texas Hold'em tables with real human dealers. Tim
mndity Posted December 18, 2007 #6 Share Posted December 18, 2007 I am wondering if the tables are limit tables..... seem hard to believe that it would be no-limit..... The amount of money to play no-limit would be extreme compared to a limit game where someone with a couple hundred dollars could play comfortably
Bases5 Posted December 18, 2007 #7 Share Posted December 18, 2007 On our recent EOS cruise they did have a time set aside for no limit but most was limit Also most RCI ships have 3 card,

Depends on all sorts of factors such as the maximum buy in, the price of the blinds, the house's rake etc. On land casinos I have seen and played No Limit with $50 buy ins. French_Fry Posted December 18, 2007 #9 Share Posted December 18, 2007 On my recent 12 EOS (11/11 - 11/23) the Poker Pro table was set to play no limit hold 'em. $ 1 & 2 blinds $ 100 min buy in $ 500 max buy in. That's all that we played except for tournaments. Rake on the NL game was $ 10 of the first $ 100.

Was there any sitn' go games also?
