Rare Tom O. Posted December 20, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 20, 2007 I booked the Jungle Tropical Paradise tour before I realized that it called for moderate activity. My wife has difficulty walking any distance and if the surface is uneven, it is even more difficult for her. We could cancel I suppose, I don't know what NCL policy is about that. But I was wondering if it was possible to go on the excursion and not do the walking part. Is it possible to stay near the bus and avoid the hike? That way the rest of our party, who is fit, can still do the hike and rejoin her afterward. Is this possible?

melika091900 Posted December 21, 2007 #6 Share Posted December 21, 2007 it was a nice experience to see the back drops of the area, if you do it , wear tennis shoes !! and bring BUG SPRAY!!!!!!!! i got bit so bad. for the price it was a good excursion, they also stop at los arcos to take pics , and to see the man with the iguana, and then on the way back you stop in town for shopping, it was worth doing it once, i wouldnt do it again, since im not a hiker, but i would try it , since your wife has problems with the hiking part, if she likes nature you can just sit and relax there, or she can while you hike, the hike was about 1 hour total i believe, you can also swim in the river but its COLD,, some people did it, they were crazy,, if you have any other questions please email me anytime .. take care and happy holidays Melissa you can see more pics of this cruise at http://travel.webshots.com/album/547192194JZNfcz?start=

I am sure my wife won't be able to do the hike, I guess we will decide after we get there if I will stay there with her by the restaurant, or go with my teenage daughters on the hike. Thanks for the tips on bug spray, etc.
