lrmg1228 Posted December 27, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2007 Does NCL not sail out of Florida during the summer month?
Browezilla Posted December 27, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2007 I don't believe they do, which seems odd. They seem to embark from northern ports (Boston, NY, etc) to head to the Caribbean.
cruizinwithkids Posted December 27, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2007 Several of the Caribbean ships are deployed to Alaska and Europe during the summer months. Most likely there is a lot more money to be made with those itineraries.
Rare Keith1010 Posted December 27, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 27, 2007 NCL will do cruises to places such as Bermuda, and New England and of course Alaska during the summer months which is why it would utilize other embarkation/disembarkation ports during this time frame. jimswims Posted December 31, 2007 #6 Share Posted December 31, 2007 I think you got your answer, I will try and provide more detail. The NCL Sun, Dawn, Pearl, and Jewel all leave out of Miami this winter. For the summer months, the Sun and the Pearl will move to do Alaska cruises, the Dawn will move back to NYC to do the Bermuda cruises, and the Jewel will be going over to Europe to do the Med. cruises. Also, the Spirit will move back to NYC from New Orleans and will alternate Eastern Carib. cruises for 8 days and NYC-FLA cruises 6 days in the Summer months. There are other ships leaving out of Boston and Philly to Bermuda in the summer as well. NCL does not do cruises out of Florida in the summer months.
