jhannah Posted January 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2008 Wowie! Check out the menu that will be featured in this new restaurant aboard the Eurodam. It's on the Eurodam News Blog, and the menu will be published in parts. The appetizers are on there now. http://www.eurodamnews.com/

Krazy Kruizers Posted January 2, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 2, 2008 I think I could make a meal just out of some of those appetizers.
sail7seas Posted January 2, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2008 Thanks, John. DH is going to love that place. :D I saw a few things that might appeal. ;) Maasdam's loss is Eurodam's gain as Chef Schumann leaves Maasdam to take out Eurodam. He well deserves it IMO...... a great Chef (and delightful gentleman).
PHYLLISR Posted January 2, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 2, 2008 We'll be on Eurodam 10/1. Tamarind Restaurant looks wonderful. Phyllis
ore-ee-gun Posted January 2, 2008 #6 Share Posted January 2, 2008 I'm not a huge fan of Asian food, but some of these offerings sound very nice... Will Tamarind charge a fee for dining?
caviargal Posted January 2, 2008 #7 Share Posted January 2, 2008 We are booked for April 2009. The dining options were a lot of the appeal. Thanks for posting!
sail7seas Posted January 2, 2008 #8 Share Posted January 2, 2008 I'm not a huge fan of Asian food, but some of these offerings sound very nice... Will Tamarind charge a fee for dining? Yes. There will be an additional charge. If they have announced how much, I'm not aware but probably in the same range as Pinnacle, I would guess. Pinnacle is $30 pp charge for dinner and $15 pp for lunch.
Rare LAFFNVEGAS Posted January 2, 2008 #9 Share Posted January 2, 2008 My only problem with the menu is going to be trying to decide what to order:eek: I want EVERYTHING:D I really do love Asian food and I could easily make a full meal out of the Shrimp Wonton Soup and several of the appetizers;) I cannot wait to see the Main Courses:)
hammybee Posted January 2, 2008 #10 Share Posted January 2, 2008 Thai Beef Salad......sounds absolutely wonderful. Thank you Jim, for bringing this to our attention.
Vic The Parrot Posted January 2, 2008 #11 Share Posted January 2, 2008 Thanks for the info, Jim. That menu looks pretty tempting. I hope it's an improvement over the Pinnacle.
O2B@C Posted January 2, 2008 #12 Share Posted January 2, 2008 I was thinking I wasn't interested in Eurodam because it was too big (esp. in number of pax), and I have never considered paying extra for a specialty restaurant, but now I may have to change my mind on both counts. I love Asian food, and this menu looks absolutely fabulous! Sounds like the best way to do it would be to go with a big crowd so you could order one of everything and share tastes. Yummmmmm!:)
peaches from georgia Posted January 2, 2008 #13 Share Posted January 2, 2008 Looks good to me and am anxious to see the rest of it. A very smart move on HAL's part. They absolutely will need to snazz up the PG menu, though I'm sure it will remain mainly beef. It's needed it for a long time and 5+ years is too long to have basically the same choices. Vic The Parrot Posted January 3, 2008 #14 Share Posted January 3, 2008 They absolutely will need to snazz up the PG menu, though I'm sure it will remain mainly beef. It's needed it for a long time and 5+ years is too long to have basically the same choices. At last ....someone else who feels the same way. :D But a good suggestion would be to send the PG chef back to culinary school before he kills someone from boredom.
barbon2 Posted January 3, 2008 #15 Share Posted January 3, 2008 It is my assumption that the PG menu will always remain pretty close to what it is today, which is basically a steakhouse. Remember, not everyone is a repeat cruiser on HAL and most lines do have a similar speciality restaurant. Barbara
mamaofami Posted January 3, 2008 #16 Share Posted January 3, 2008 I could certainly make a meal out of those items posted. Sounds delicious. I hope they will not add MSG to these items.

SDHALFAN Posted January 3, 2008 #18 Share Posted January 3, 2008 Thanks so much Jim for providing us with the proposed "Starter" menu. I couldn't find anything I liked in the soup category (and I really, really love soups), and a "bowl of Edamame? (okay I'm not a vegetarian either - I really like Edamame, just not a whole bowlful at one timel:D ) but the rest of the menu looks great and, quite frankly I could make a whole meal out of just the appetizers alone. Jade13 Posted January 3, 2008 #19 Share Posted January 3, 2008 Chef Robert Schumann was on the Veendam last year. The food was excellant.
bepsf Posted January 3, 2008 #20 Share Posted January 3, 2008 My only problem with the menu is going to be trying to decide what to order:eek: I want EVERYTHING:D [/size] Lisa, I agree... ...I might be up there 2-3 times! jhannah Posted January 3, 2008 Author #21 Share Posted January 3, 2008 Check out the next installment, including: Seafood Hot Pot A one-pot surprise consisting of shrimp, scallops, Manila clams, rock fish, crab legs, squid, scallions, shallots, garlic, lemon grass and coriander leaves all braised in a flavorful stock. Krazy Kruizers Posted January 3, 2008 #22 Share Posted January 3, 2008 Those Entrees sound great. This is so funny - just as this was being started yesterday, a friend sent me a copy of the deck plans. I was looking over the dining area of the Pan-Asian restaurant and could see only 4 tables of 2 on the port side and 4 on the starboard side -- and none of them are by a window where you can look out. ekerr19 Posted January 3, 2008 #23 Share Posted January 3, 2008 That menu looks fabulous! We'll be eating there more than once, that's for sure. Both DH & I love Asian cusine. :)
WeLoveCruising Posted January 3, 2008 #24 Share Posted January 3, 2008 I cant wait, it looks great. One of my favorite places to eat on the ships is at the Lido Asian station...I think they do such a great job with the stir fry and soups. If that's any indication, I expect delicious food at Tamarind :)
mamaofami Posted January 6, 2008 #25 Share Posted January 6, 2008 This menu looks great. Anyone know how they do reservations for this venue?
