Ship Classes, which ships are the bigger ones, smaller ones.....

Considering a cruise on Holland America. Only cruised Royal Caribbean so far and want to know which Holland America ships are larger or smaller. Are there different classes? Which ships belong to each class?

The Vista class are the largest. The next class is the Rotterdam or R class with the smallest being the Statendam or S class. The newest signature class will be larger yet.

And you'd be most welcome to join us, of course! :) But I would hate to see you spend your hard-earned $ on a HAL cruise and not have a good time because it doesn't meet expectations that are based on your extensive experience with another cruise line. So I would encourage you to learn as much as you can about HAL's "personality" before you make a decision. Everyone's tastes are different, and there are certainly people who enjoy both HAL and Royal Caribbean a great deal. As long as you have a sense of what to expect, I'm sure you will have a great cruise on HAL. Enjoy!
