Caribbean Princess 3/2 sailing

Hello,

We are considering this sailing, but was concerned about 2 sea days in a row. I do love sea days, but have not cruised before with 2 consecutive days, am afraid I'll go stir crazy. Any suggestions?

For us the more sea days the better.

But, there are movies, bingo, fitness center, sunshine, more than enough to keep you busy.

We have never sailed in March, a little worried about the seas. When we sailed this itinerary in Jan of 2005, we had very rough seas, I couldn't wait to get off at the next port. Does anyone know what the temps usually run @ this time of year?

I wouldn't worry about 2 consecutive sea days. We also love sea days and find enjoyment simply being on the ship, walking around the promenade, enjoying the great spaces and not having to worry about what to do next. Our Jan 25 Emerald Princess 10-day will have 5 consecutive port days, which I know will be wonderful, but I kind of wish there was a sea day to break it up. For us the ultimate was 6 days at sea on the Queen Mary 2. We didn't want to get off the ship.

Aw sea days. So wonderful! I was so excited to finally be at sea after two years (since our previous cruise) I couldn't stand it. I was like a kid in a candy store on our balcony watching Port Everglades disappear. I found the sea days to be a great way to relax and re-focus and prepare my mind for the wonderful sights to see, nice people to meet and terrific food to eat. There is plenty to do on this beautiful ship. Take a long walk, browse the boutiques, read a good book, have long conversations with new friends, go to the casino, take a class, etc. We had 4 sea days going over to Hawaii (two years prior) and 5 days coming back, and we didn't get bored because there was a lot to do and participate in.

We're going to have 19 sea days on our Sapphire cruise in April and I'm really looking forward to them. A good CD (usually not one who sings well or tells jokes), will have many activities planned and things to do throughout the day and evening.

I have sailed in March the past two years- and the temps are always wonderful, and we've never had much trouble with the seas. It does tend to get a little chilly/windy at night tho. Have a great time!

I'm curious about the itinerary for October or November out of NYC, which has 3 sea days followed by 3 port days and flying back from San Juan. I found a single rate (with early booking) of about $800 !

I love the sea days, too but thought I'd add (in case you're traveling with kids) that my daughter (14) also loves the sea days. She enjoys these days more than port days! Loved the Teen Center and the activities.

If all the days were sea days I'd be perfectly happy. There is so much to do and I'm not a pool person at all. I always pick cruises with lots of sea days because I love them

I love the sea days...everything on the ship is up and running. Good time to relax with a good book or go to the spa. If you are bored, you can always EAT!! Ha

Sea days are the best for really relaxing by the pool with a good book, having a drink and walking to the railing to watch the ocean go by for a while!

 

Well, that's what we like to do anyway. Others find many activities to do away from the pool area.

Actually, there is NO WAY you could even do everything they have scheduled on those days if you tried. You will love it!!!
